Tips in a Job Interview

The second step in getting the job is meeting the potential employer for an interview. The first step that an applicant has successfully completed was sending your application and passing the screening process of the company.

The employer got the resume through a variety of sources that can be from an ad that was posted, a referral from a friend or a headhunter, or by a person who simply submitted an application by logging on the company’s website.

Here are a few tips that will help in having a successful interview;

•	Before going to an interview, it is best to do some research about the company one is applying to.

•	It is also best to practice with a friend or family member mock up questions that the employer will likely ask so you do not choke during the real interview.

•	When you go for an interview, it is best to always arrive 10 to 15 minutes ahead of time. This shows employers that the person is punctual and serves as a good attribute in a potential employee.

•	When meeting an employer, you should bring an extra copy of the resume and other documents that are needed if asked certain questions. A good example is architects and photographers who are professionals in the respective fields who have a portfolio of the works done which may impress the interviewer.

•	It is always best to dress appropriately. This shows the employer sincerity on the part of the applicant applying for the job. One must have finger-nails and hair well groomed for the interview. The outfit worn should be professional. This would mean that shoes must be used to match the outfit. If you typically wear a lot of jewelry, it is advisable to remove and tone it down for the interview.

•	When you are in front of the employer, smile and greet the interviewer with a firm (but not bone crushing) handshake which is always a good start to get the interview moving.

•	During the course of the interview, listen very well to the questions asked. Each must be answered truthfully and confidently to be able to sell yourself to the potential employer.

•	Afterwards, the applicant should thank the recruiter for the time that was given to meet for the interview.

1. Use a person’s name. You have undoubtedly heard salesmen use and abuse this technique. Maybe a statement like “Look Steve, you can see the benefits of this…” just turns you off. Using a person’s name IS a powerful persuasion technique, but there is more subtlety and art to persuasion than just following simple rules.

People do love to hear their own name, but you have to be careful how you use it. First of all, use it how they want to hear it. Ask how they prefer to be addressed. A Mike may not like “Michael,” and a Joseph may be irritated by you calling him “Joe.”

Second, use it at the right time. Unless you are great at reading people and know it is okay, don’t say “Hi Betty!” the moment she walks into your office. Wait until there is a bit of rapport, and sometimes even ask permission (”Is it okay if I call you Betty?”).

2. Use motivating words. Say “think about,” they’ll do that. It is not a call to action. Use words like “today,” and “now,” and “do this.” Many subliminal experts will tell you that even using “by now,” repetitively, as in “By now you can see that this car is luxurious,” is subconsciously taken as “buy now.”

Remember to use THEIR words. If they use the word “efficient” often, then it’s an important word to them. Start using it: “You can see how efficient this RV is in it’s use of space.” Pay attention and pick out any words they use often. Persuasion is easier when you speak the same “language.”

Find Local Part Time Jobs for Students

Now that I’m beginning my second year of college, my parents expect me to make more of a financial contribution to my own expenses. They’ll still handle the bulk of my tuition, but have told me that I must pay for my own books, off-campus apartment, and incidentals. Although I wasn’t exactly happy with this arrangement at first, I know that it’ll pay off in the long run. After all, nothing beats real-world experience when it comes to building a resume will impress employers in the future. So I’m currently scouring the Internet and classifieds for good part time jobs for students.

I’ve never really had to look for work before, so everything about the process is very new to me. The most surprising thing thus far has to be the fact that there’s such a wide variety of part time jobs for students available these days. We’re no longer limited to flipping burgers or working the cash register at a gas station. Instead, I’ve seen positions advertised in every conceivable field, from retail to IT, online marketing, advertising, and a whole lot more. I almost feel as though I have too much to choose from, and I’m really having difficulties making up my mind about where to send in my applications!

Another surprising aspect of my quest for work has been the number of different places to find job listings. Of course all the local newspapers have Help Wanted ads in the classified section, so I combed through those right from the beginning. I was also able to find tons of listings for part time jobs for students online at various career-related websites. Although these places listed all the part time jobs for students available across the country, I was easily able to narrow my search by entering certain criteria such as city, state, or industry.

Of course, finding listings of part time jobs for students is really just the first phase of the process, leaving me with the much harder tasks of tailoring my resume to the position I want, submitting my application and cover letter, and tackling the interview. All of this can be a bit daunting for first-time job seekers, and I have to admit that I’m feeling pretty lost right now. But fortunately, many of the websites that offer part time jobs for students also provide helpful tips for handling these other items, so I just have to read through all the information and put the tips into practice.

Overall, I’m confident that I’ll be able to land a suitable job that will earn me great money while I’m working towards my degree. There are plenty of part time jobs for students out there; I just have to find one that’s perfect for me!

This is a very important information that you would like to get access to. Don’t forget that successful people are really different from non-successful.

Positive attitude is part of the story. When you can approach the matters and other issues of your life in the positive key, you will find out that a lot becomes possible.

Even the things that have seemed to be unrealistic and absolute “dead end” stuff.

Like most people, you are often overstretched in areas of your life. Currently you are playing several different roles at any one time, e.g. Roles of a productive employee, a filial child, an understanding partner, a caring parent, a helpful friend and many other more which you seek to do well and excel in.

And in addition to that, you are obliged to adhering to the duties of every roles, their respective “shoulds” and “musts”.

The truth is regardless how well you plan your time, you only have a limited time and energy every day. There is only this much of things you can seek to accomplish daily. However, most “procrastinators” fail to realize that. Instead, day after day, they try to accomplish all their tasks in one day.

Any time management experts will tell you that attempting to do everything within a short period of time is suicidal. Eventually, you will run of gas and burn out.

Unknown to many, we are all procrastinators in this modern world. Everything you do carry with it an opportunity cost. When you decide to invest your time and energy in playing a particular role well, you will be neglecting your other important life roles at the same time. And when you fail to meet those “shoulds” and “musts” which come along with those roles, you feel that you have not done enough.

Thus, rather than constantly beating up yourself for not doing enough and hoping for a heaven-sent cure for procrastination, why not look into yourself and determine what you truly value in your life.

By determining the priorities of the different roles in your life, you will better understand what you truly treasure. And it does make sense to allocate more time and energy in fulfilling those more important roles to your very best while giving less attention to other less crucial roles, isn’t it?

That will eliminate the need for you to want to do everything within a short period of time and along with it the misconception of procrastination.

This is a lesson in procrastination which took many people a long time to understand. By learning this it well, you will gradually learn not to get too overly troubled about the presence of procrastination in your life.

There are two goals to be met when trying to roll out a successful Search Engine Optimization (SEO) campaign. Make sure your company has considered the following when looking at HR SEO Goals1%

1. Increase the number of highly qualified and targeted job seekers to your corporate career website.

2. Increase an employer’s brand, through obtaining high search engine rankings for pages that contain content related to the keyword strings that job seekers are using to search for jobs.

As you have seen, more companies every day are jumping into the HR SEO Goals2% field. Most of these vendors are selling the same product or service, something along the lines of “we will pull your jobs from your ATS, create a micro-site that optimizes those jobs, and then send the candidates to your ATS”.

While this approach does create optimized job pages for Google to find, the problem is that the neither of the two primary goals of the SEO campaign are met. There is nothing about building an SEO-optimized page that will lead to more job seekers applying for your jobs. No job seekers will find these pages- it’s not enough just to structure a page so that Google can see it, you have to actively get other sites to point to yours, as well- so no brand authority will be achieved.

Let’s look at why.

It’s crucial that your pages are optimized for keyword phrases that job seekers are actually going to use. For example, if no one is searching for the phrase “c++ programmers java Irvine California 90k plus”- and they aren’t- it makes no difference how much time or money you spend promoting that page. If no one is using the keyword phrase you are optimizing the page for to search for jobs, they aren’t going to find your jobs and they certainly aren’t going to apply for them. When was the last time you searched Google and went to Page 2 of the results? Chances are, not very often. In fact, some results show that this happens less than 10% of the time. Top 10 and Top 20 rankings are all that really matter. In fact, when optimizing for any “search string” that has 4 or more words in it, page 2 doesn’t even matter, because there are so few people searching on these phrases, (i.e. “search traffic”), that 10% of 100 searches in a month is only 10 people… That is NOT going to drive candidates to your website.

So is there anything out there that does work?

First, you need to perform keyword research. This entails researching a list of potential keyword search strings, and developing a list of “keyword phrases” that your job seeker target audience is currently using to find your job openings. Only after you have done this research can you work on creating a “landing page” for your jobs, specifically designed to rank in the top 10 results for the specific phrase you choose. I want to stress that one more time- the key to SEO is knowing what your job seekers are typing in to Google. Only after you know that can you know what phrases you need to design your pages around. After your page has been optimized, typically, an SEO vendor will help to “submit” and promote the page with Google, Yahoo!, MSN, etc.

This doesn’t take a lot of work.

That, however, is not your stopping point. The steps outlined above will most likely get you indexed by Google, but not on page one. If it’s a competitive phrase, you’re not going to be on page 1, 2, 4, or 4, either. The final step of the SEO process is also the most time consuming, difficult and expensive process. However, without the proper marketing, your landing pages and career site are identical to everyone else’s. You must get references from other high-quality and well-thought-of websites to be seen as the authority.

To close, remember, there are 3 vital steps for successful SEO.

1. Doing keyword research to determine what will build your brand and drive traffic.

2. Implement a web page optimized for each particular keyword string.

3. Implementing a landing page marketing strategy to build credibility and authority to these new web pages.

Any HR SEO Goals#% strategy that doesn’t consider all 3 of these aspects is bound to fail, and that failure is measurable- if you’re not driving additional traffic to your career site, then the campaign isn’t working.

If you are going to be successful on the internet or any home business as far as that is concerned, then, integrity must come before your financial success. Many people are financially successful on the internet, but some have forgotten the meaning of true success.

As Jim Rohn (One of the all time favorite motivational speakers) says, quite often, it is far more important of who you are becoming, then, what you are earning. Jim even goes so far as to say that you should work toward becoming a millionaire, not for the money, but because of who you will become in achieving the goal.

The stress is on becoming a better person. A person who has integrity. Integrity is being able to be counted on, to be depended upon, if you say that you are going to provide a service or product for a certain amount of money, then you do it. You are looking out for your customers, as well as yourself.

In most cases your reputation will precede you! You may think that no one is discovering your flawed business manners, but actually, the word is spreading and on the net, it spreads quite rapidly. Visit Keynote Speaker for more information

One of the universal laws of success is that financial success follows hard work with honesty. In other words, “help enough people get what they want and you will find that you receive what you want.” However, if you are just looking out for you, you are only hurting yourself in the long run. Wouldn’t the internet be so much better if we were all watching out for each other?

One important lesson I have learned when it comes to making a sale is that people buy from those whom they trust. If they trust you they will buy from you. If your integrity is guiding you as you make your presentation to others it will come across to your potential buyer. You are more likely to make that sell with your integrity guiding you, then, any other aspect in your presentation. Visit Motivational Speaker for more information

It does not matter how well you intellectually present your service or product, if they detect flaws in your character you might as well close up your brief case and go home.

Perhaps, even of a greater reward for being a man or women of integrity is that you will sleep better at night just knowing you did your best to sincerely help others achieve their dreams. What can be more rewarding, then, to help others reach their goals?

If you have children, perhaps, that would be the ultimate reason to permit integrity to lead you. Your children will have someone that they can be proud of and more importantly someone whom they can trust! Visit Speaker

Thank goodness for journaling and those who journal. If it were not for journals, much of history would be lost forever. We owe so much of our knowledge of our forefathers and the world before us to those who took the time to make entries in their journal.

Ship captains kept daily logs while at sea and most of our founding fathers kept journals as they formed a new nation. Long before that, records were kept on scrolls with quill and some form of ink.

Hieroglyphics line the ancient tombs of the pharaohs giving us an insight into what their lives were like. Even cave men recorded history on rocks and hillsides. Where would we be today if it were not for journals?

You may say, “Sure that’s all well and good for famous people such as presidents and celebrities, but I don’t have the time - and even if I did, nothing of any importance happens to me.”

Journals should be kept for you and what they can do for you regardless of your position in life. That’s reason enough, but think how much your children and grandchildren will learn about their ancestors from the journal you may start today.

You may think you’ll always remember what you did on a certain date and why you decided to buy that article you always wanted but as the saying goes: “The faintest ink is better than the most retentive mind.” Writing down your thoughts and actions is one of the easiest and most compelling ways to remember and record your personal life.

Your brain is trained to think in a sequence of events. Every thing is in order and has its place. The mind is capable of processing myriads of thoughts at any given moment. And, as you would imagine, those thoughts are like sentences. They contain a beginning, a middle and an end. It’s like giving a speech when one thought relates to another and so on until the logical end.

By writing down your thoughts in a journal you can break free of sequential thinking and examine them from a new perspective. Remember when Merlin in Camelot urged Arthur to soar like an eagle to view his thoughts and problems from high above the land. From there he said there are no fences and no boundaries. His thinking was set free with nothing to restrain it in conventional limitations.

Journaling gives clarity to your problems and allows you to substantiate your progress. It’s easy to think you’ve made no progress and nothing of import occurred until you reread your journal a year later. A question you may have thought impossible to solve will suddenly present itself with a solution when you view the written word.

Be specific when making entries. It may seem trivial at the time but later when you examine the big picture you’ll see how it all came together and how events are still unfolding. Write down your goals, intentions, obstacles, challenges, your likes and dislikes. Make a note of people who’ve helped you and those who likely will in the future.

You can create a journal in a book or on your computer. Software for this purpose is available. A journal gives you direction. It shows where you’ve been, where you are now and where you’re going. Begin a journal today. You’ll gain more insight into yourself than you ever thought possible.

Gratitude or appreciation of what we already have is very important in the manifestation process. If we want to attract things we desire we must have feelings of gratitude, so every day when you wake up try to be thankful and think about the good things in your live you should be thankful for.

To begin using the Law of Gratitude and the Law of Attraction to work for us in positive ways, we must take control of our lives and understand how to best use this power we all have within us.

Learn More <lc>about the</lc> Laws <lc>of</lc> Attraction <lc>and</lc> Gratitude

We cannot express true gratitude without feeling emotionally grateful. Being thankful for everything that comes to us is to accept our lives as they are, realizing that everything that has come to us is because we created it. It could be hard to accept our responsibility, but without accepting it we can’t start positively changing our lives. Although it may not have been our conscious intent, but we created our lives. It is much easier to understand for people who also know the law of karma or the law of action and reaction.

We must appreciate what we have, so let’s appreciate our jobs (even if we don’t like them). We should feel gratitude for a place to live (there are many people who don’t have a place to live). We should be grateful for some food, some friends or anything else that we possess. A lot of people don’t have enough even basic things like food, water and their own place to live.

It’s natural that you want more, that you want to improve your standard of life, but first you need to feel gratitude for what you already have.

Law <lc>of</lc> Attraction Information

Sometimes gratitude comes in steps. Making a list of things you are thankful for being in your life helps you to create a more positive energy within you. It also helps to begin surrounding yourself with people that are upbeat and positive.

Apart of expressing gratitude, making positive affirmation statements can speed up manifestation process.

When you begin making affirmation statements to yourself, you will begin to manifest a life of happiness and abundance by being grateful. Begin telling yourself that you are grateful for having money in your life. This will affirm things that are already present in your life and create more of it. Even if you only have a dollar to your name, expressing gratitude for this money will begin to bring more of the same.

By reflecting positive affirmations of gratitude, you begin to change your inner world to one of lighter, higher vibration energy. Then the Law of Attraction will answer this by changing your outer world to reflect your inner, positive state of mind.

The Mind works in two ways, on conscious and subconscious level. When we think about something it is impressed on the subconscious mind which acts on the thought. If the thought is not concentrated it simply dissipates into energy. Thoughts like everything are energy.

However, when the thought is concentrated, which means that we focus on something for a longer period of time or often with emotions and imagination, things can really start to manifest.
This may sound corny, or too simple of an idea, but this is the way the universe works. Old thought patterns that we have established over time can be easy to slip back into again. When changing our life in positive ways, staying on course with an attitude of gratitude can seem difficult. In time, this new pattern establishes itself and becomes you.

STEPHEN RICHARDS SAYS GIVING YOURSELF TO OTHERS CAN BE PRICELESS

You cannot buy forgiveness with money, you cannot put right what you have done to yourself by throwing cash at it. This is so within Cosmic Ordering. Let me tell you a story about giving, and I mean really giving! Anyone can throw money about and look good, but when you are an unsung hero and give your time, then this is a priceless gift. By giving yourself to others and helping them it makes a difference, try it and see how rewarded you feel and see how much better you are within, and then try placing your Cosmic Order.

There is a man who I’d like to tell you about. His name is Sandy Greenberg. In his youth, Sandy was a very good student, but he came from a poor family. And so he went to Columbia University on a scholarship and there he met his roommate who also was receiving financial aid.

Now while he was a sophomore at Columbia University, Sandy contracted an eye disease that eventually proved to be glaucoma. But the trouble was, it wasn’t detected early enough, and as a result he became legally blind. But something else happened to Sandy that may surprise you. Sandy said that when he lost his sight, his roommate would read his textbooks to him, every night.

If your roommate had a serious disability, would you take the time to read textbooks to him every night, knowing the more you spend time reading textbooks to your roommate, perhaps the less well you might do with your other activities? That’s not as easy a question as it first appears.

But luckily for Sandy, his roommate did help him. And as a result, Sandy went on to graduate with honours. He got a Fulbright Scholarship, and he went off to study at Oxford. He was still quite poor, but he said he had managed to save about five hundred dollars as he went along.

His roommate, meanwhile, also went on to graduate school. One day, Sandy got a call from him at Oxford. And his former roommate said, “Sandy I’m really unhappy. I really don’t like being in graduate school, and I don’t want to do this.”

So Sandy asked, “Well what do you want to do?”

And his roommate told him, “Sandy, I really love to sing. I have a high school friend who plays the guitar. And we would really like to try our hand in the music business. But we need to make a promo record, and in order to do that I need $500.”

So Sandy Greenberg told me he took all his life savings and sent it to his roommate. He told me, “You know, what else could I do? He made my life; I needed to help make his life.”

Each of you, in your own lives, will be faced with challenges, with roadblocks, with problems that you didn’t anticipate or expect. How you are able to deal with adversity will be influenced, to no small extent, by how you deal with others along the way. What you get will depend a lot on what you give. And that’s the end of the story of doing well, by doing good.

You probably want to know who Sandy’s roommate was. I think you’ve heard of him. Sandy’s roommate was a fellow by the name of Art Garfunkel, and he teamed up with another musician by the name of Paul Simon. That $500 helped them cut a record that eventually became ‘The Sounds of Silence.’

PAGAN WHISPERS

Although I do not subscribe to Cosmic Ordering being some sort of mysterious system for invoking things to happen, I do feel that it has some tie-ins with other genres that I have worked with. I recently published a book by the author Carole Carlton called ‘Mrs Darley’s Pagan Whispers’ and I was prompted by Trace’s email to think of this book and the Pagan rituals and how they tied in with nature, as does Cosmic Ordering to some extent. This brought me on to thinking of some of the important days in the years.

SUMMER SOLSTICE

The longest day of the year is June 21st. It is the day when the sun is at its most northerly point and this is why it is ‘the longest day’. On this day you can see a very old custom at Stonehenge, in Wiltshire, England. Every summer solstice hundreds of people go to Stonehenge to watch the sun rise.

The sun shines on one famous stone - the Heel stone. The Heel or Hele stone stands to the northeast of the Stonehenge circles. The name is probably derived from the Greek word for the sun (Helios). The Heel Stone is a stone which is not located in the main circle. The Heel Stone, formerly Friar’s Heel, is the Anglicized corruption of the ancient Welsh ‘Freya Sul’. Sul (pronounced ‘seal’ in old and modern Welsh) means Sun Day, again, connected to the Greek word helios.

For the Druids this is a very important moment of the year. Druid celebrations also take place on Midsummer’s Eve, Bonfires are lit to show respect for the Sun God, whose power they say is greatest at the summer solstice. The fires also represent an attempt to ward off the coming winter. Practice of this ancient ritual, which also includes a summer solstice Circle Dance, is now mainly confined to Cornwall, the West Country, and London’s Hampstead Heath.

The Druids were the priests in Britain 2,000 years ago. They used the sun and the stones at Stonehenge to know the start of the months and seasons. There are Druids in Britain today too.

In the first years of the 20th century, this alignment implied a ritualistic connection with sun worship and it was generally concluded that Stonehenge was constructed as a temple to the sun. More recently, though, the astronomer Gerald Hawkins has argued that Stonehenge is not merely aligned with solar and lunar astronomical events, but can be used to predict other events such as eclipses. In other words, Stonehenge was more than a temple, it was an astronomical calculator.

It was argued that the summer solstice alignment cannot be accidental. The sun rises in different directions in different geographical latitudes. For the alignment to be correct, it must have been calculated precisely for Stonehenge’s latitude of 51° 11′. The alignment, therefore, must have been fundamental to the design and placement of Stonehenge. As if corroborating the claims made by Hawkins for Stonehenge.

A professor of engineering and a mathematician, Alexander Thom, has shown that many other megalithic sites throughout Britain are also oriented towards the sun and the moon.

The alignment also made it clear that whoever built Stonehenge had precise astronomical knowledge of the path of the sun and, moreover, must have known before construction began precisely where the sun rose at dawn on midsummer’s morning while standing on the future site of the monument. It was the site, a particular place within the landscape, that was important; only later were these sites marked in some more permanent manner by the digging of ditches and banks and (or instead) the erection of wood or stone structures.

This particular spot in the landscape was so important that not only were ditches and banks dug and, later, stone circles and horseshoe arrangements constructed to mark it, but that some of the stones were deliberately transported there with considerable effort from a great distance away.

Contrary to expectations, the great stone circles and horseshoe arrangements for which Stonehenge is famous are later additions to the monument (mostly Stonehenge III) and are not essential to the lunar and solar calculations.

The megalithic ruin known as Stonehenge stands on the open downland of Salisbury Plain two miles (three kilometres) west of the town of Amesbury, Wiltshire, in Southern England. It is not a single structure but consists of a series of earth, timber, and stone structures that were revised and re-modelled over a period of more than 1400 years.

Unlike earlier stone circles oriented on natural features like prominent hills, Stonehenge aligns with no natural features all the alignments being man-made. The builders had to provide an outlier to mark the rising of the sun at midsummer as seen from the centre of the circle. This is the Heel Stone, located 60m from the centre of the circle. Note the barbed wire that has now been placed around the monument. It was put there to protect the site from large group that wanted to overrun the site for the summer solstice.

Mystery surrounds this 5,000 year old World Heritage Site. As old as the pyramids in Egypt, was Stonehenge designed as a place of sun worship, or as part of a huge astronomical calendar? Each monument was a circular structure, aligned with the rising sun at the solstice. Erected between 3,000 BC and 1,600 BC, the stones were carried hundreds of miles over land and sea, while antlers and bones were used to dig the pits that hold the stones. An awe-inspiring family visit, Stonehenge is a powerful reminder of the once-great Stone and Bronze Ages.

A 17th-century architect named Inigo Jones thought Stonehenge was a Roman temple. By the time the 18th and 19th centuries rolled along, popular opinion had changed - Stonehenge was thought to be a Druid temple for sun-worship. (The problem with this theory is that Stonehenge was finished 1,000 years before the Druids came to prominence.

British author John Mitchell has suggested that Stonehenge was “a cosmic temple dedicated to all twelve gods of the zodiac. It represents the ideal cosmology, the perfect and complete image of the universe”.

And that seems as good an explanation as any for this feat of engineering and construction that continues to fascinate us to this day.

What was he thinking? Why did she do that? Chances are that positive thinking or negative thoughts are behind almost every human behavior. Ever since the self-help industry was launched by Earl Nightingale’s recording of The Strangest Secret, self-help gurus advocate positive thinking.

Even the famous author and pastor, the deceased Reverend Norman Vincent Peale wrote about and preached on the power of positive thinking. So what do positive thoughts do and how do they affect positive affirmations.

For example, a very simple positive thought is “I can do it!” instead of “There is no way I can do it.” Go ahead, repeat each statement 10 times each. Listen to yourself. Which felt better? The odds are that you help empowered when you said “I can do it!” and depressed when you said the other one.

By purposely creating and repeating positive thoughts a daily habit, you can create a habitual power that will propel you to action and positive results.

Just what does thinking positively do for you? When you have a slew of negative thoughts, does that mean your life is about to crash? Is there a way to measure the impact of thinking positively with a right frame of mind?

Consider this analogy. A mental attitude is a pre-disposition, a leaning toward a type of thinking. It’s much like a preference. For example, I like to eat snacks and if all I eat is candy, then that is all that I know what is available as a snack. My mental attitude is tuned in whenever I pass the candy aisle in a grocery store or the candy trays next to the check out. All the positive thinking about eating apples and grapes goes south when the thought of eating candy is dominant.

The same is true of a positive mental attitude. Through repetition of positive thoughts, positive thinking takes over. An affirmation that plants those positive thoughts in the subconscious mind builds that mindset. Healing affirmations that focus on better health work the same way.

Do you feel a little under the weather? Is your health and life at a crisis. Healing affirmations can help provide a positive frame of mind that can benefit you and even move you toward health.

What are healing affirmations and how do they affect a person’s health? Let me explain in just a moment. But first, let’s define what a healing affirmation is not. A healing affirmation is not a magic spell. It is not magical thinking. It is not a way to escape reality.

A healing affirmation is the process of saying the power of words in a relaxed state of body and mind to program your subconscious mind with positive thinking. Many people throughout the world use a healing affirmation to help build up the power of faith and engage the body to accept health and well being.

Cosmic Ordering and Old Time Justice

A man in the Old West was being tried for stealing a horse. You need to remember that stealing a horse in the Old West was a very grave and serious offence. A person could be hanged if found guilty of such a deed.

It so happened that the man whose horse had been stolen had always made it a point to get the best of any person with whom he had any dealings. He had never tried to do anything good for anyone other than himself. The case was tried and presented to the jury. The evidence against the accused man was pretty strong. After about thirty minutes of deliberation, the jury returned to the court chambers. “Gentlemen of the jury, have you reached a verdict?” The judge asked. The chairman of the jury stood up. “Yes we have, your honour,” he replied.

“What is your verdict?” inquired the judge.

“We find the defendant not guilty if he will return the horse.”

After the judge had silenced the laughter in the courtroom, he admonished the jury. “I cannot accept that verdict. You will have to retire until you reach another verdict,” said the judge. The jury went back into their room to deliberate toward another verdict. No member of the jury had any particular liking for the man whose horse had been stolen. They took their place in the jury box and the courtroom grew silent.

“Gentlemen of the jury,” began the judge, “have you reached a verdict?” The chairman of the jury stood up.

“Yes we have, your honour,” he replied. “What is your verdict?” asked the judge.

The chairman read the decision reached by the twelve good men, tried and true.

“We find the defendant not guilty, and he can keep the horse!” The courtroom burst into laughter!

Moral of the story: If you spend your life trying to take advantage of others, never caring about them in any way except what you can get from them or what they can do for you, you will end up a a loser.

If you desire a friend, then be a friend. If you desire for other people to help you, then help other people. If you desire justice at the hands of others, then practice justice toward them.

A CAVEAT

Don’t look at everyone you meet as a ‘meal ticket’ out of your present existence or a money making machine. All what I am saying is that the opportunity is out there and you DO need other people in order to make things work. Think about where different situations could take you, and most of all, never expect something for nothing.

EACH STAGE IS IMPORTANT

Rather than go for something big straightway, use something which I have called a ‘step order’.

Everyone knows the value of walking. It helps your heart, your circulation and your tummy (a great calorie burner)

But here is something else for you to think about: why not use your walking as a time for meditation?. Most people start walking because it’s an excellent form of exercise, injuries are rarely experienced and there is no learning involved. Easy, easy, easy.

No expensive equipment necessary (great for your pocketbook). You just start walking and you are instantly on the road to better health. If you combine this with meditation, or mindful walking, you will find your gains to be priceless.

So what is walking meditation, or mindful walking? It is when you deliberately focus on your every step. You don’t have to increase your speed, in fact, you might begin by walking slower so you can get the hang of mindful walking.

When you focus on your walking, focus on how it feels as you raise your foot then place it back down, one step at a time. The practice of mindful walking has its roots in Buddhism, in particular the art of Ayatana. Christianity also has its version of walking meditation: walking the labyrinth.

Using walking as meditation helps you stay focused on the here and now. As you become more skilled at this practice, you will find yourself better able to let go of your worries and stress.

Many forms of meditation have the individual sitting with eyes shut, focusing their attention away from the outside. With mindful walking, the eyes are open wide, taking in the outside environment. This gives the walker an opportunity to detatch from the head noisy; a very valuable experience, especially for westerners.

Here are some general instructions for walking meditation:

* Walk in an area that you are familiar and comfortable with.

* Attempt to walk for a 20 minute time period. If you find that is too long for you, then you may want to begin with a 5 minute period and work your way up to 20 minutes.

* Start your walking in a relaxed but not a slouched posture.

* Concentrate on how your feet feel.

* Let your arms relax, down by your side.

* Gently focus about three to six feet in front of you as you walk.

In conclusion, mindful walking is a practice that is easy to implement into your daily exercise regiment. Not only will you be helping your body out, but you will be taking your exercise program up a notch by improving your mind and spirit.

WHAT SETS A SUCCESSFUL COSMIC ORDERER APART FROM OTHERS?

You see, some find the Cosmic Ordering mindset hard to pick up on. It has to do with expectation. You will know from my book ‘Cosmic Ordering Guide’ that I say (write) ‘Always have an air of expectancy’.

We have so many Friends from normal backgrounds wishing to go on to be huge successes and to manifest a million dollars all in go … just like that. Well, as many of you know, it just doesn’t happen like that.

What makes a successful Cosmic Orderer different from those that don’t make the grade or achieve their goals, hopes and dreams for the future?

LET ME SHOW YOU

By just changing the way you do things and without increasing your skill at a particular task you can gain far better results than the norm, just by changing the way you do them.

OPPORTUNITY IS IN ABUNDANCE

Yes, opportunity is all about us, we are surrounded by it … but some of you just cannot see it. I know that might sound a little crass coming from me, after all what have I got to lose by saying that?

Right now, as you read this, the possibilities of achieving whatever you want are all around you. You are about to make that happen for yourself, right now! So stop sitting there talking about it, get up and do it.

FORGET THE FEAR

Forget the fear of not being able to go forward, what is worse than the position you are know in. I mean, you are reading this because you want to move forward and onward to abundance. Many of you are only a few footsteps away from success, and that seems to be the point where you throw in the towel. What you are getting here is something that is impromptu, unplanned and off the cuff. Most of my regular Friends on here know this is how I work.

MISSED OPPORTUNITIES

I know many of you will have a firm belief in ‘positive thinking’, but that is something that should be within you without even working at it. You have to be a positive thinker in order to make this work, that is something that should be a natural thing to happen.

HAVE YOU EVER HAD A DREAM

Of course you have. The longed for promotion, an activity you want to be more proficient at doing, changing things that need to be changed, meeting new friends and even more …you want these things to happen. For some you, it might be a case that you never took the chance to go ahead and do some of these things for fear that you would fault. Just think. What if you had of taken those first few steps towards your dreams and goals all of those years ago!

FORGET THE PAST

Right, now you have examined the past and realized that you never took the bull by the horns or maybe procrastinated over it, now you must forget all about those lot opportunities.

SPOT THE OPPORTUNITY

Within yourself you need to spot the opportunity that is suited to your skills and also look out for situations that are filled with opportunity. Yes, you have to do a little work here, it is not going to present itself to you on a silver salver. However, you have to actually make some sort of conscious effort in manifesting your desires. Do not think you can just sit there and see it happen without some application or some catalytic action on your behalf to make it happen.

WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM MY FRIENDS

Do you know, we’d all have exactly what we wanted already if we helped each other out a little more. My, my! Sounds like utopia all these people helping each other get what they want! Let me explain what I mean. A scientific study of sorts (that you may or may not already be familiar with) suggests every single person in the world, no matter where they are, what country they’re in or what language they speak, is connected and knows you through a chain of seven people.

To test this theory, they took this random solitary type guy that lives a very solitary life in the mountains of a far off country, and picked out a person from the capital city of England… the London area. In a series of only seven jumps, through research, they managed to get from this person in London, to the solitary guy living in the mountains.

MAKE YOUR IDEAS KNOWN

Don’t get me wrong, I am not saying that by telling everyone you meet your ides that it will make them happen, but it will expand the chances of using those around you in the world to help make them happen. Don’t wait for an opportunity to come to you, get out there and go for it. How do you think all of the big business people make it happen, they don’t sit at home waiting for it to come tot hem, they go out looking for it.

INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF SUCCESS

Don’t dream on your own, include your friends and members of your family.

Imagine this, you are lying in bed at night and looking up to your darkened ceiling. See it as the Universe, see a shining star in the center of the ceiling, this star represent you! Now see that star encircled by some blue coloured stars, these represent your friends and family. Around these are yellow coloured stars, these are the friends of your friends and family. From that circle repeat the process all over again until your ceiling is full of stars.

Each star represents an opportunity, each star represent a chance to meet, learn from and become mutual successes. I’m not saying that you should go out and hug a stranger and call them your friend, but to each one of these people you have something to offer, as they no doubt have something to offer to you. It would be nice to think that you could make friends with the whole of the world’s population, but in reality it would never happen. However, they’re ready for you to take them in whatever form you wish.

Everyone has the typical pictures of hypnosis in their head. A tuxedo clad hypnotist methodically swinging a gold watch and chanting, “You’re getting sleepy, very sleepy.” Then of course, he’ll cause the subject to cluck like a chicken or hop on one foot. Hypnosis is merely a party game in many peoples’ heads.

But, the truth is that hypnosis is actually a big influence on peoples’ lives. It can help people lose weight, it can help people quit smoking, it can help them be more influential in their interpersonal dealings, and - more than anything - it is utilized to help people to get any dream that they decide to go for.

Some would like to experiment with hypnosis or self-hypnosis, but they are held back because they aren’t sure they know how to do it correctly.

This is where free hypnosis scripts come in handy. The scripts are created by professionals, based on much of experience and research. They are laser targeted to change your brain and actions in the most efficient way possible. By trusting them, you can know that you are not being led astray in any way, and that you are only placing ideas in your mind that are beneficial in helping you to reach your dreams.

A professional-level free hypnosis script should contain pre-hypnosis talking to get your mind prepared and in a receptive place, and it should also include a final part of the script which leads you out of the hypnotic state in a calm, relaxed manner.

For more information regarding free hypnosis scripts and the awesome and life-changing effects of hypnosis, go to http://vovvar.net/hypnosis.

For many, the interview is the single most stressful part of the job search process. Any number of things can go wrong, and a big part of being successful is avoiding simple mistakes. The following is a list some of the most common mistakes during an Interview.

1. Failure to research the company: An interviewer will expect candidates to spend time researching and reading about their company. Do your homework before the interview; really know what the company does and who their competitors are. If you have not taken the time to review the employer website and understand what they are recruiting for, then you are reducing your chances of continuing successfully through the interview process.

2. Not clear on what you’re interviewing for: Be familiar with the job description so you can draw on your experiences, talents, strengths and abilities to connect with company needs. Highlight how you’re suited to that particular job.

3. Not marketing yourself correctly: Define yourself. What makes you different from others? Know your major strengths and accomplishments as they relate to the job you are applying for and the company.

4. Not asking meaningful questions: Have at least 3-4 intelligent questions to ask the recruiter. It’s OK (it actually leaves a positive impression with the recruiter) to have them written down in advance and to reference them at the appropriate time. Interviews are an exchange of information, and not coming in with questions shows that you did not prepare for the whole interview.

5. Under-dressing for the interview: Professional attire and attention to detail still count. You can never be too professional. Remember that everything - your appearance, your tone of voice, your conduct -contributes to the impression (positive or negative) that you make. Be presentable - wear a pressed suit and shirt and polished shoes.

Technology is taking over our lives in many ways. The very nature of technology is to help make things simpler for us. Those of us that are older have had a high learning curve when it comes to the use of the various pieces of equipment that are now available for home use. Many older adults laugh about asking their children to help them learn how to use different home items such as computers and other electronics. I have to admit that I though the new CD player I purchased was broken until my ten year old figured out that I had the CD in upside down. Adults seem to be afraid that we are going to break or damage the equipment by pushing the various buttons, but kids are not afraid to try different things to make the items work.

Last year I decided that I needed to look for a different job. I was no longer happy in the position I was working and the long commute was getting to me. I told my husband that I was going to use vacation days to search for a job because I could not do this during the day at my fulltime employment. When my nineteen year old heard me say this he told me that I could search for jobs online. He showed me how to access a website where I could post my resume and have it available to employers that had openings. He said that there were several employers that register with the websites where people could search for jobs. He found this out through the work force center that summer when he had been looking for a job.

He found the website that would be the most appropriate for me and placed it in my favorites so I could easily access it. When I entered the site I filled out a questionnaire that described my education as well as my work history. There was also a spot where I could enter my resume. In addition to this information I filled out forms indicating in which geographical area I wanted to search for jobs. The entire process took about ninety minutes. I had a choice if I wanted potential employers to contact me through email, traditional mail or telephone. This was a great way of stream lining the process and helped me to save my vacation time to go on the actual interviews. I could also search for jobs in other areas that were outside of the geographical area that I indicated. Within sixty days of making the decision of wanting to move I had secured new employment. I found a job that was much closer to home and that matched my skills well. It was a great way of improving the way to search for jobs.

Consider Mystery Shopper Job Opportunities

What do you do for a living? Do you fully enjoy your job on a day to day basis? This is a crucial factor in anyone’s life. We all have to enjoy what we do for a living in order to be happy. Think about the amount of time you spend at your job over a lifetime. Maybe you want to consider looking at other job opportunities. For example, were you aware that people shop in malls and restaurants for a living? Yeah’ it’s true. While it may sound nuts or unrealistic, people like yourself take full advantage of mystery shopper job opportunities every day.
Now, you may be considering why companies would hire you to indulge in mystery shopper job opportunities. It’s simple really! This is how they can tell if the stores, restaurants and employees are doing their jobs. As the mystery shopper, you basically fill out a report on the business after you experience it. You then turn in your review to the one who hired you for the mystery shopper job opportunity and get paid. You don’t even need to go see anyone in person to acquire a job like this.
College graduation is just a few months away for me, which means it’s time to start thinking about what I’m going to do with my life. I already know that grad school isn’t something I’d like to pursue in the immediate future, and since I’ll have a bunch of student loans to pay off, it looks like I better try to find some work.

Some of my friends have been talking about working overseas for a couple of years, and are currently looking into job opportunities abroad. The more I hear them gush about being able to earn great money while seeing the world, the more I’m convinced that I should join them.

I decided to research job opportunities abroad on my own to see what kind of positions are currently available. There are tons of websites that list help wanted ads for countries all around the world, so I spent a lot of time checking those out. After sifting through seemingly hundreds of pages of information, I discovered that applying for job opportunities abroad is relatively easy — especially since the entire process can be handled via e-mail and/or fax.

Many current job opportunities abroad revolve around teaching English to people who would like to learn a second language. These positions are open to college graduates, and are available throughout Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. There are also plenty of IT-related job opportunities abroad, as well as numerous openings for professionals such as doctors, lawyers, and researchers.

Getting a position teaching English would probably be the easiest way for me to go, so now I need to decide which country I’d like to live in and work in. Once I settle on a destination, I can then search for more targeted job opportunities abroad and start sending out my resume.

As an alternative, I could sign up with a recruiting company that specializes in placing people overseas. Although doing this would likely entail a fee of some sort, it would be a lot easier than having to manually sift through all the different help wanted ads on my own. Some international recruiting companies even assist with visa processing and accommodation, so these are additional points to keep in mind.

On the whole, I’m very excited about the abundance of job opportunities abroad. To me, it seems easier to land a position overseas than here at home, so I’m confident that I’ll find something good. And now that I know what I want to do after graduation, I’m actually looking forward to the end of student life!
